GENERAL INFORMATION 

Stephen M. Kovach is the Director of Education at Healthmark Industries located in St.Clair Shores Michigan

He has been in the Hospital field for over 30 years. He has held many positions included Dialysis Technician, Cardiac Catheterization Technician, Perfusionist, and the last 20 years in various positions dealing with Central Service.

Stephen has a BS from Central Michigan University, with a Major in Biology & History. He has been a Certified Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Cardiovascular Technician and a Certified Central Service Technician through NICHSPDP.

Stephen has been active within his state organization having held many positions.

He is a member of IAHCSMM, ASHCSP,AORN and many State Central Service orginazations.

In addition Stephen is a member of several AAMI working group committees that are developing recommended practices.

He also has been an instructor at the Community College level and published many articles varying in subject matter from perfusion to the importance of cleaning surgical instruments.

He has received recognition in both his personal and business profession.

Stephen is very proud to say he has
